Lochranza - Isle of Arran

Scotland in miniature

The Isle of Arran has been described as Scotland in miniature, from the highlands in the north, to the lowlands of the south.

From winding roads to gushing waterfalls, Arran has breath taking scenery and being situated in the Gulf stream means the weather can be delightful, with palm trees growing by the sea front.

Walks are abundant on the island, with Goatfell being the most challenging at over 800 metres, although the not-so-serious walkers are also catered for.

Lochranza Castle - Isle of Arran
While your out and about keep an eye open for the Arran wildlife.  It ranges from wild stag, to birds of prey and from seals to basking sharks.

Brodick Castle and Gardens also provides an interesting day out, with experts on hand to answer you every question about the Castle and it’s contents.

Even with all the scenery a trip to the Brewery, Distillery and Arran Aromatics is essential and thats not including some superb restaurants and pubs.

For the adventurers there is the Arran Adventure company or Mountain bike riding all of which will mean that no matter how long you stay, there is always plenty to do....There is no denying that Arran is a wonderful place with lots to do for everyone. Which makes it an ideal holiday destination and when the sun does finally go down, which it does in a spectacular fashion, you will already be planning your next visit to Arran.
